Fascinating Fibonaccis

Always a great source of fascinating facts, the Fibonacci Sequence is explored here in nature, art, architecture, music, poetry, science and technology.

Find the famous numbers 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, in places you never realised.

"Fascinating Fibonaccis" by Trudi Hammel Garland demonstrates the occurrence of these numbers in pineapples, beehives, the Great Pyramids of Giza, the human body and even Beethoven's Fifth Symphony!

She finishes by giving us a historical perspective of this remarkable sequence of numbers and a sort biography about the man himself, Leonardo da Pisa, or "Fibonacci".

I would say this book is suitable for all ages from 11 and is available in the school library now.
